New Commercial Industrial Park Set To Open On McGillivray Boulevard

McGillivray Business Park – Phase 1 encompasses 33 acres of a 160 acre site

September 23, 2019 | Winnipeg, Manitoba - A new premier commercial/light industrial business park is set to open on McGillivray Boulevard named, McGillivray Business Park. Located in the growing southwest quadrant of Winnipeg’s census metropolitan area. The site is situated just outside City of Winnipeg limits in the Rural Municipality of Macdonald and is in proximity to major commercial, retail and residential amenities.

Zoned ML Light Industrial and falling within the Provincially approved Enterprise Centre policy area, the initial phase of McGillivray Business Park consists of 18 lots for sale ranging in size from 0.7 ac res to 5.8 acres. The development features fully serviced lots that meet and exceed the standards set by the Rural Municipality of Macdonald. The site-servicing plan allows for future land requirements to be fully serviced within a 12-month period for lots up to 40 acres in size.

The Business Park features underground services including hydro, gas, sewer, water and land drainage. Both BellMTS and Shaw will be servicing the park with high-speed fibre optic cable. The site incorporates paved asphalt roads and concrete curb and gutter and features a number of lots that back on to the lake. Lake lots have the additional benefit of fire suppression capability. The roadways are built to a Provincial highway standard that allows for heavy traffic. The future light controlled intersection, with acceleration and deceleration lanes, will allow for the safe and efficient flow of traffic in and out of the Business Park. Building/Landscape design criteria and RM construction standards ensure long-term value protection for lot owners. Additionally, the Park’s rough grading of lots has been completed to within twelve inches of finished grade, essentially eliminating the need for fill to be brought in or trucked out of the site.
